Principal’s Message
I am excited to begin my 19th year in education at Lyle Creek. I hold an undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University. From 2007 to 2018, I taught Social Studies at St. Stephens High School, where I also coached the boys' basketball team. From there, I transitioned into the assistant principal role at Lyle Creek, where I served for 3 years. I am beginning my 3rd year at Lyle Creek after spending a few years in Lincoln County.
I am married to my wife Margaret, who is a teacher in the district. We have one daughter and are expecting a son in Fall 2025. I enjoy sports, traveling, and the outdoors in general.
Warm regards,
Murphy Post
